Mount Shasta, one of the volcanoes in the Land of Fire, has a snow cap on its tip year around because of its high altitude.

The Land of Fire is located in Northern California, near Shasta County. It is also near the Sierras, which is a chain of mountains. It is to the north of California and just a few miles south of the Oregon border. Mount Shasta can be seen in the southernmost point in Oregon.

A lava flow is this state of California's symbol because of the significant amount of volcanic activity in the area.
